In the facilities of  Hagerbach Test Gallery, you are invited to take a closer look at 300 years of Swiss tunnelling history. Explore the exciting stories about the “Urner Loch” and the old Gotthard Rail Tunnel, which once was the base of economical growth and the origin of which was characterized by questionable compromises, flimsy promises and corruption.

You will find an amazing development in safety and protective measures in underground facilities which are state of the art in today’s projects like the Gotthard base tunnel.
